Posted by fmmh in : Ramblings , add a commentI’ve been watching YouTube videos on neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor, who discusses how a stroke affected her life and thinking. She touches on some profound stuff, especially regarding the nature of identity, dissociation, and spirituality.
Jill describes her stroke in a way I am very familiar.
Like Jill, I think I experienced Nirvana. I see my past experiences much like a glitch in the matrix. It’s confusing when I start slipping back in that right mode. Jill’s expertise on how the brain works along with her story comforts me. She emphasizes a healthy person functions best without allowing either side of the brain to completely dominate thoughts and behavior. Excellent!
