I’m not going to list all the proper email guidelines. Why don’t people know this stuff?

My biggest pet peeves about email are:

Change the subject to match email content. Nothing is more confusing than having a gazillion emails with the same subject line.
Don’t forward private emails without permission of original author. I don’t care what someone else writes to you. This may also be in violation of copyright laws.
In email replies, answer all questions from the original email, or write a response explaining why you choose not to answer a specific question. Write a response. Get creative. Not acknowledging a written question is just like ignoring a question a person asks you to your face.
