Dexter December 15, 2006

My hubby made me watch an episode of Dexter, a Showtime series. I didn’t want to watch the show because the name emotionally triggers me. It is the last name of a guy who hurt me. I didn’t want to like the series, but I do! I think I like Dex for several reasons but mostly because he’s an advocate for kids. He is not a serial killer. I think that is his identity crisis. He is a vigilante. Dexter’s justifiable homicides protect innocence.

I’m not going to list all the proper email guidelines. Why don’t people know this stuff?

My biggest pet peeves about email are:

  1. Change the subject to match email content. Nothing is more confusing than having a gazillion emails with the same subject line.
  2. Don’t forward private emails without permission of original author. I don’t care what someone else writes to you. This may also be in violation of copyright laws.
  3. In email replies, answer all questions from the original email, or write a response explaining why you choose not to answer a specific question. Write a response. Get creative. Not acknowledging a written question is just like ignoring a question a person asks you to your face.
